What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that uses the science of learning and behavior to help children build meaningful skills. Goals are broken into small, achievable steps, practiced in a supportive way, and reinforced with encouragement — so progress builds over time.

ABA can support communication, social skills, play, self-care, and school readiness, and it can help reduce behaviors that cause harm or make learning harder. Every plan is built around your child’s strengths, interests, and pace.

Whole-child care under one roof

Because AMMG brings pediatrics, primary care, and psychiatric mental health care together, we can look at the full picture — development, sleep, nutrition, medical concerns, and emotional health — and coordinate care, so your family isn’t left to connect the dots alone.

How it works

  1. Reach out. Schedule a visit online or call us. We’ll listen to your concerns and answer your questions.
  2. Assessment. We learn about your child’s development, strengths, and challenges, and review any past evaluations.
  3. A personalized plan. Together, we set clear goals that matter to your child and your family.
  4. Therapy and coaching. Your child works on goals step by step, and you learn strategies to use at home.
  5. Progress reviews. We track progress and adjust the plan as your child grows.

Signs it may be time to talk with us

Every child develops at their own pace, but early support can make a real difference. Consider reaching out if your child:

  • Isn’t babbling, pointing, or using words as expected for their age
  • Makes little eye contact or rarely responds to their name
  • Loses words or skills they once had
  • Has difficulty with back-and-forth play or conversation
  • Repeats movements, words, or routines and is very upset by small changes
  • Reacts strongly to sounds, textures, lights, or smells

You don’t need a diagnosis to reach out. If something feels off, trust your instincts — we’re here to listen.

Coverage for autism services varies by plan. Call us to talk through the options for your family before your first visit.
